Well, the streets were alive but not with a lot of great photo content. I did find this old guy wearing a unique cowboy hat and eating ice cream. he told me where to get the hat he was so proud of and wore with distinction. I love the street. Each day is new and no two photos are alike. Nor are the people.

Mackinac Island

July 2013

The bicycle project still lives. I spent several days on Mackinac Island capturing the power of the pedals

Bisti Badlands, New Mexico

DSC00311-Edit.jpgDSC00312-Edit.jpgDSC00320-Edit.jpg

The Bisti Badlands in New Mexico remain a mysterious place. Unusual formations caused by the eons of time make this a moon like landscape. I shot most of these pictures hand held with a Sony Nex6. This was an experiment to see how the photos would turn out. They all look very good.

I found that Bisti is not a one stop iconic shot. It takes many pics to depict this strange landscape. This landscape represents a good start to a possible project.

Downtown Tucson, By The Bus Depot

Pulled out the Leica M9 used hyper-focal technique to get some decent shots. Too bad I didn’t stop the big guy here for a street photo. Maybe he was too big!! Adjusting for the high contrast is a problem. I’m going to start shooting later with a smaller f stop.

4th Avenue on a Friday

Brought out the Sony Nex 6 to do a few shots. Worked on street candids and “pedal power”. The day was moderately successful with one or two keepers. Hot day generally uneventful.
